Finally it’s Day one of Your Stuff… Use It! and I am pretty excited! Here is my first card for card week…
I went a step further (but obviously you don’t have to) and not only used stuff I already own, but scraps. As the pattern paper is from various old projects, I can’t name the brand, but I am willing to bet it’s Recollections (I use a lot of Recollections). I used cream-colored card stock to layer my papers on, and the card itself is kraft card stock (I love the look of kraft paper, I really need to start using it more). There is a piece of brown and white bakers twine tied on the top. The house is a stamp (I believe it is a $1.50 bargain bin stamp from Michael’s as well). I usually do my coloring in Prisma Color Pencils, but decided to step out of my box, and use markers. My choices were Crayola Markers or Sharpies, so today, I went with the Crayola, pulling most of the colors out of the pattern paper. I kind of like the effect, and will do this again
So, I have looked at my week, and would like to try and do a card a day. But we will see. And obviously this will not work on other weeks (and altered object a day? ouch!) But, I do want to try to keep my daily blogging up, so on days I don’t have a Your Stuff… Use It! project, I will continue to blog as I have been to fill the gaps.
Has anyone else started with me yet? What ‘cha got? (please post the link to your pictures/blogs/ect. in the comments below, so we call all see) and if you can, list what you used, because it’s interesting to me…
Come back tomorrow for another card…
PS- if you missed today, you can join in tomorrow! All of week 1 is card week, and so goes until Saturday September 7th… (and remember, this is come and go as you like, you can do one or all, pick and choose… just drop in and let us know!)
